Halfway House Inn Country Lodge Rooms

Easy parking, room & bathroom were clean and the furniture was in good condition. Evening meal (very tasty Indian lamb curry and rice) was served in the bar. Breakfast - options available - full English cooked to order. All staff were very helpful and courteous.

Very enjoyable relaxing stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable, warm, clean and spacious room with all amenities including a fridge. Evening meal was exceptional and good full English breakfast. Grounds include a lake with a walk round it and far reaching views will definitely stay again.

We are three mates that was looking for accommodation within 15 mins drive to Shepton Mallet show ground for the classic bike show, having travelled down over 200 miles. We were greeted at 9pm and although the kitchen had closed, they knocked us a meal up and was spot on. It's a cracking pub and our room was in an annexe and had an upper level with two beds and a double on the ground . It was perfect for the three of us.

We loved that they can cater for a larger family to stay together in the same room, the room was still spacious for the 5 of us! The included breakfast was a lovely start to the day, lovely produce, prompt and hot! We'd love to return soon

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and warm, beds comfortable and appreciated the bottled water in the fridge and hot chocolate packets for the kids. Access was easy, I liked that you didn’t have to go through the bar to the rooms and was not restricted time wise for returning in the evening. Breakfast was great, had a lovely full English with a decent sausage, and cereals/yogurt juice for kids.

The blocked in balcony was nice to let our dog out there and k is he was safe. Very welcoming and so friendly will definitely return

Stayed here 5 nights while visiting family & friends.Really friendly hospitable staff! Excellent menu! My husband enjoyed full English breakfast 5 mornings in a row while I was treated to excellent poached eggs! We were running late one evening, called to ask if a meal could be left for us & we returned to a plate & a half of delicious fish, chips & salad each! Comfy beds. Very useful fridge in our room to keep our water cold. Thank you so much!
